Bringing fireflies — and organic farming — back to Taro
Taro · ENVIRONMENT
Not beneficiaries. Founders, farmers, teachers, and masters of craft — already changing their villages when we met them.
A Local Hero is a changemaker working inside their own community — a farmer restoring fireflies, a puppet master teaching children, a mother building a crisis center. Five Pillar Initiative identifies these people, then strengthens them with training, networks, and funding, because help that flows through local hands stays.

Our best introductions come from communities themselves. If someone in your village is quietly building something that matters — tell us about them.
Every donation strengthens a Local Hero's project — reported back to you with numbers and names.
